Laurent Champoussin (b. 1970, Nice) is a photographer living between Paris and Nantes. After more than fifteen years in the film industry, collaborating with directors such as Alain Cavalier, Aki Kaurismäki, and Nuri Bilge Ceylan, he turned fully to photography in 2007.

His work spans portraiture, landscape, and on-set photography, guided by a poetic and understated approach. By removing clear markers of time, scale, and place, he creates subtle disorientation and invites open interpretation. He continues to collaborate with filmmakers and institutions including Hirokazu Kore-Eda, Emmanuelle Bercot, Hermès, and the Philharmonie de Paris.
