Galeri Bosfor is pleased to announce its participation in NADA New York 2025.

For this edition of NADA New York, Galeri Bosfor will present a selection of works by Barış Göktürk. Following these bodies of work on fire and dance in the public space of protest, Gokturk has worked on expanding the idea of fire, and its dual potential further to a universal plane, borrowing from mythologies of fire and shape-shifting creatures, connoting the transformative capabilities of the body in a new series. Using the phoenix image and its different versions in different cultures, the Egyptian Bennu, the Hindu Garuda, the Chinese Feng Huang, the Persian Simorgh to name a few, as a springboard, he has created shape-shifting sculptural works that can be rearranged and reconfigured according to the context of the space they are shown.
